Getting Fit
Fitness Room Hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Fitness schedule below outlines drop-in fitness classes available at the Active Adult Center and the Trail Winds Active Adult Wing, in addition to classes held at Margaret Carpenter Recreation Center and Trail Winds Recreation Center.
We offer a variety of classes including Tai Chi, Chair Yoga, Drumming for Cardio, Silver Sneakers Classic and Circuit, Boom Muscle & Move It, Zumba, Line Dancing, Parkinson's Fitness, Cardio Plus, Forever Young and Balance & Strength.
At this time, we do not require the use of GroupExpro for classes held at the Active Adult Center. For Classes at Margaret Carpenter or Trail Winds, you are required to sign-up using that system.

Cardiovascular & Strength Training Equipment Orientation
Drop-in Fitness Center Orientations are available on the dates below. No reservations required. Recreation Coordinator, Marisa Kouba will be available to demonstrate equipment and orient to the space.

In-Person Fitness Classes
The Thornton Active Adult Center (AAC) and Trail Winds Active Adult Wing offer several types of fitness classes to meet your exercise needs at any level. We offer a variety of drop in classes, as well as classes that you sign up for on a monthly basis.
We are also a proud member of the SilverSneakers®, Silver&Fit®, Renew Active®, and Prime® fitness programs. To enroll in SilverSneakers®, Silver&Fit®, Renew Active®, or Prime® programs please stop by the front desk from 8 a.m to 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday to enroll. Personal Training
The Active Adult Center offers Personal Training sessions with Trainer Adam Harris. Adam has worked as a Personal Trainer for over two decades including time with the United States Air Force as an Exercise Physiologist.
